Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
