Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete has considerable social media presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns several international courses and often plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, following the flow."
Kai will face multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, particularly with the next generation.
The young star maintains millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
