Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed based on standard protocol and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.

This event isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
