In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
